How did i create "KILL"?
Being the first time I would create a game using the Construct 3 engine, I started by familiarizing myself with its inspector and the systems through which I would be implementing my game's scripts, visuals and audio.
After I had a decent enough grasp on the engine's capabilities and devised a satisfyingly efficient workflow: I got to working on the visuals for the game. This was difficult work since I needed to split my sprites into separate sections that could be individually damaged and protected, and it was where most of the production effort went.
Then, I integrated the visuals simultaneously to the game's logic and core gameplay, after which I finished integrating a multitude of patterns and balancing them out.
For the last touches of polish, I added audio to the game which I recorded and mixed myself to create truly unique sounds to go with the game's strange visuals. I also added a few animations and procedural visual effects to make both victory and defeat feel more impactful.

what is "kill"?
"KILL" is a minimal scale project I made by myself at the start of my second semester as a first year Game Design student. The theme, which I received from a friend, was the basis for the creation of this intense arcade shooter.
With it, I created this unique and bizarre world where strange creatures not unlike humans come towards you: where you need to kill or be killed.
